Regular club meeting, with a twist

Thursday, 16 November 2017. Join us at the Bite of Belgium, 741 N. Alameda,  in the downtown area, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM.  You’re especially welcome if you’re not a member but want to find out what we do and, we hope, join.  Our Southwest District Governor will be here as a special guest, with much to say about how Kiwanis helps the community.

Kiwanis One Day – our community service

Saturday, 28 October 2017, at Lynn Middle School.  We had  a crew of 11 Kiwanians, 6 LCPS staff, 9 Key Club members, 6 Builders Club members, and 2 family member voluonteers, all helping with landscaping, cleanup, and outdoor furniture painting.  We started at 8 AM; the Builders Club provided a hot dog lunch.  Kiwanis One Day is a universal day of service for Kiwanis Clubs around the world.

Social event

Friday, 20 October 2017, 7-8 AM.  All club members, guests, and anyone wanting to learn about what Kiwanis accomplishes are invited.  We meet at the Good Samaritan Village at 3011 Buena Vida Circle, a bit east of Telshor Blvd. near the hospital.  Entrance is through the double doors marked Social Center; we meet in the Oasis Room on the right-hand side a bit down the hall going south.  Breakfast begins at 7 AM and runs to 8 AM, so there’s time to get to work afterward.  If you’d like to buy your breakfast there the cost is $7.  Camaraderie is free.
